In the Summer of 1979 Mascara, a studio only band conceived by Caister soul dj Chris Hill and legendary German producer Jurgen S Korduletsch recorded the lost classic disco album ‘See You in LA’.

‘Golden Years’ taken from the album was conceived as a filler track and a nice opportunity to do a cover version, the inspiration being that Luther Vandross, then a virtually unkown session singer booked for the LP, had just completed Bowie’s ‘Young Americans’ tour as backing vocalist.

Available for the first time on 7″ vinyl and recorded from the remastered original tapes, our version has been lovingly extended by the Homophono team. This strictly limited reissue is available for all tastemakers, Bowiephiles and those who like to dance on glorious white vinyl!

We’ve got a few mint copies left for sale. Drop us a line here at Homophono Towers to claim yours. When they’re gone, they’re gone!
